Engagement with loyalty programs of consumers in South Africa 2023
According to a survey conducted in 2023, 45 percent of economically active consumers in South Africa wanted to be instantly rewarded for their loyalty to a brand, while among mass market consumers the share who wished so was 29 percent. On the other hand, 61 percent of mass market consumers were motivated to spend more to earn more rewards, with 35 percent of economically active consumers sharing the same feeling.
